Installing drywall panels
Drywall is much easier to hang in an empty room. Installing drywall panels is relatively simple, the trick is to start with the ceiling. The sheets on the walls will help hold the sheets on the ceiling in place.

Don’t forget to drill holes for electrical wiring, and cut openings for outlets, switches and electric baseboard heaters.

Depending on what you intend to use the new room for, you way want to sound-proof it by insulating the walls with R-12 fibreglass.

The longest part of the whole process is applying compound to the joints and waiting for each layer to dry.
